Greater Washington Partnership Celebrates 10 Years of Impact, Announces Renewed Leadership and Next Phase of Growth
Continuity of leadership from Kathy Warden and Kathy Hollinger reinforces the Partnership’s momentum and role as a national model for regional economic collaboration
Washington, D.C., October 16, 2025 — The Greater Washington Partnership (the Partnership), the region’s leading alliance of private sector employers spanning from Baltimore through D.C. to Richmond, today announced a series of leadership milestones that reinforce its role as the model for employer-driven economic growth, including renewed appointments for the organization’s Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer, and key installations to the Board and Executive Committee.
Kathy Warden, Chair, President and CEO of Northrop Grumman Corporation, will extend her role as Board Chair through December 2026, bringing global credibility and stability to the Partnership’s ambitious growth agenda. An internationally respected CEO with proven ability to drive growth and tackle complex problems, Warden’s continuation as Board Chair underscores her ongoing commitment to the region during this critical time.
“The Greater Washington region combines world-class academic institutions, industry-leading employers and a community of devoted leaders around one powerful purpose: to strengthen and propel our region forward,” said Warden. “Tapping into skills and expertise found across the corridor, the Partnership has not only presented a bold vision for the future but delivered tangible pathways for investments in skills, talent, infrastructure and growth to achieve it. The success of the Partnership’s first decade fuels my passion for this work and confidence in what we can accomplish when business, government, academia and community work hand-in-hand.”
Kathy Hollinger has been renewed as CEO after three years of transformational leadership. Under Hollinger’s tenure, the Partnership has reestablished itself as the region’s trusted voice for data-driven insights, pioneered an employer-led talent model and launched its jobs board in support of displaced federal workers.
“I’m honored to lead an organization anchored by the most influential employers and leaders from Baltimore through D.C. to Richmond at such a defining moment for our region,” said Hollinger. “Over the past three years, we’ve built a dynamic team, reestablished the Partnership as a trusted source for data, insight, and storytelling, and expanded our table—grounded in our largest employers but informed by businesses of every size and sector—to shape the pillars of work that preserve and advance the corridor’s long-term economic competitiveness.”
Hollinger’s extended tenure reflects the Board’s confidence in her leadership and steady hand during a time of emerging economic shifts in the region, as she has steered a new era of strategic clarity and results for the organization over the past three years. Just as Hollinger led the restaurant industry amid the uncertainties and disruptions of the COVID pandemic, she has demonstrated success leading the region’s largest employer voices during federal workforce reductions and economic shifts.
Expanded Executive Committee Brings Global and Regional Leadership
At the center of the Partnership’s impact is its Board of leading employers—comprised of the region’s most influential CEOs and senior C-suite executives. The Partnership announced the expansion of its Executive Committee to ensure more voices across business sizes and industries inform its work:
- Bob Blue, Chair, President and CEO of Dominion Energy, underscoring the critical role of infrastructure and energy in advancing regional economic growth; and
- Joe Ucuzoglu, Deloitte Global CEO, bringing a global perspective on economic trends and the impacts of geopolitics on the region.
“The Greater Washington area is a vital international hub for the business community. I’m looking forward to providing a global perspective to the Partnership’s work and supporting the region to continue to build economic resiliency now and into the future,” said Ucuzoglu.
“The Partnership’s focus on infrastructure and growth aligns with Dominion Energy’s commitment to powering the region’s economic future with reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy, and I’m thrilled to further support the Partnership’s agenda for growth,” added Blue.
“When we founded the Greater Washington Partnership 10 years ago, we set out to prove that our region could achieve something greater than any one city or sector alone,” said Ted Leonsis, Co-Founder and Vice Chair of the Greater Washington Partnership and Founder, Chairman, Managing Partner and CEO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment. “Today, the Partnership stands as a testament to what collaboration, optimism and shared purpose can build—fueling collaboration, innovation and investment and creating opportunity for everyone who calls this special place home.”
Together, the Board aligns cross-sector priorities, invests in scalable solutions and drives coordinated action across jurisdictions—positioning the region as a national blueprint for strategic growth and continued standing as one of the world’s most dynamic economies.
“Working closely with the world-class executive leaders who make up the Partnership Board, we are energized and committed to tackling the challenges emerging today to ensure greater opportunities for our region tomorrow and long-term,” added Hollinger. “With continuity of leadership and momentum behind us, we are poised to accelerate progress on talent, innovation, infrastructure and growth—and to tell the story of this region as one of the world’s most dynamic economies at this redefining time.”
