Greater Washington Partnership has leveraged employer contributions to facilitate 792 Emerging Tech Talent Scholarships since 2021 for undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the Baltimore to Richmond region. This report provides a profile of scholarship recipients from the 2025-2026 academic year, cumulative scholarship data, recipient testimonials, and a look at the career exploration programming offered by our employer partners.

About the Scholarship

The Emerging Tech Talent (ETT) Scholarship supports promising students as they pursue technology-related coursework at postsecondary institutions, including cybersecurity, data analytics, and software development*.

 

Key Facts

According to data provided by partnering colleges and universities, 59% of ETT Scholarship recipients are women, 55% are first-generation undergraduate students, and 26% are over the age of 25.

In addition to financial awards, the scholarship program offers career exposure programming to connect recipients to our network of Board and Leadership Council leading employers. Through tailored panels and networking sessions, our partners are helping recipients learn more about the career pathways in technology available within the region. Employers supporting these panels include Amazon, Capital One, Clark Construction, Deloitte, KPMG, Maximus, and Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
