Greater Washington Partnership has leveraged employer contributions to facilitate 663 Emerging Tech Talent Scholarships since 2021 for undergraduate students from fourteen colleges and universities across the region from Baltimore to Richmond. This report provides a profile of scholarship recipients from the 2024-2025 academic year, cumulative scholarship data, recipient testimonials, and a look at the career exploration programming offered by our employer partners.

About the Scholarship

The Emerging Tech Talent (ETT) Scholarship supports promising students as they pursue technology-related coursework at postsecondary institutions, including cybersecurity, data analytics, and software development*.

Key Facts

According to data provided by partnering colleges and universities, 55% of ETT Scholarship recipients are women, 44% are first-generation undergraduate students, and 29% are over the age of 25.

In addition to financial awards, the scholarship program offers career exposure programming to connect recipients to our network of Board and Leadership Council leading employers. Through tailored panels, networking sessions, and private tours, our partners are helping recipients learn more about the career pathways in technology available within the region. Employers supporting these panels have included Amazon, Capital One, Clark Construction, Deloitte, KPMG, Maximus, and Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
