Q: When did you join the Partnership and what initially encouraged you to join the team?
I joined in 2016 after working with the Partnership’s predecessor Washington 2024. I believed then and still believe now in the Partnership’s mission.
Q: What motivates you to jump out of bed and get to work each morning?
After 30 years working for Fortune 100 companies to help them make more money, I am now in a position to use my skills to make a difference and to empower the Partnership to follow its mission with strength and protection.
Q: The theme for International Women’s Day on March 8 was “Break the Bias”. How have you helped to break the bias through your work — either at the Partnership or in another role/environment?
Having started my practice at a time when making partner at a law firm as a woman was the exception, I have made it my priority to include talented women on every deal team and make sure they have every opportunity to have the training and experience to reach their goal when that next step decision is made.
Q: Looking back at your accomplishments, what is your biggest personal highlight during your tenure at the Partnership?
The times that I have had the opportunity to be a trusted adviser to the Chair, the Board, and the entire Partnership team.
Q: What has surprised you about working at the Partnership?
Not so much surprised as proud of what the Partnership has accomplished in 5 years and that it has proven its enduring capacity to facilitate positive change.
Q: How have you evolved as a colleague/leader/professional since joining Partnership? How has the pandemic impacted your work or leadership style?
I continue to enhance my ability to work in a changing environment and find the best ways to add value whenever possible.
Q: If you could snap your fingers and solve any issue or hurdle you’ve encountered in the Capital Region, what would it be and why?
To give all children in the region, regardless of zip code or circumstance, an equal chance to be safe to learn, to grow, and to succeed.

The Lincoln Memorial.
