Investing in entrepreneurship and the small businesses that drive our regional economy is essential to fostering long-term prosperity.
We co-hosted “Better Together: Fortifying Entrepreneurs Through Collective Engagement” with the Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce at Amazon HQ2—a reception designed to strengthen connections across the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The event brought together participants from two programs: the Chamber’s President’s Circle and the Partnership’s Next Level accelerator program—our signature initiative to support small and local businesses from Baltimore to Richmond. Co-created with our Board partners, Next Level helps entrepreneurs grow through expanded access to capital, contract opportunities and long-term strategies for sustainability.
We were honored to be joined by several champions of small business, including DC Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie, Arlington County Board Chair Takis Karantonis and Arlington County Councilmember Julius D. “JD” Spain, Sr.. Attendees also heard unique perspectives from Amanda Stephenson, GWBCC President’s Circle participant and Next Level graduate.
We are grateful to our Board partner Brian Kenner and the Amazon team for hosting us and their continued commitment to inclusive economic growth.
By convening entrepreneurs, procurement leaders, corporate partners and public officials, the event opened the door to new relationships and real opportunities for collaboration.
