The Partnership’s 2025 Year-End Report reflects the collective progress made together to strengthen the region stretching from Baltimore through Washington, DC to Richmond—making it more vibrant, economically competitive and prosperous.
The report highlights the tangible impact of collective efforts driven by our board of CEOs and C-suite leaders alongside policymakers and key partners. Across Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, Partnership board companies directly and indirectly support 647,000 jobs—nearly 1 in 16 jobs in the region—contributing $96.1B in total GDP, 6% of the region’s economy and $5.2B in state and local tax revenue, while sustaining an average direct employee income of $104,000.

Among the past year’s highlights:
- 100+ strategic convenings bringing together governors, mayors, CEOs, and key leaders to drive alignment on regional growth priorities and unlock new opportunities for the region’s economy.
- Championed regional housing solutions with $1.37B+ committed over five years—supporting 15,100+ affordable housing units created, preserved, or advanced.
- Launched the Greater Washington Partnership Jobs Board with 7,000+ job opportunities across 55 employers in response to federal workforce disruptions.
- Graduated 38 entrepreneurs from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC through the Next Level small business accelerator program since the first cohort in 2023.
- Supported major infrastructure projects that secured $52M+ in new investments in 2025, contributing to more than 50 projects backed since 2019 that have collectively received $5.57B+.
- Awarded 226 Emerging Tech Talent Scholarships to students across 14 regional institutions, strengthening the future tech workforce.
