We held our annual Supplier Diversity Summer Social hosted by Exelon, where procurement executives from our region’s leading employers and diverse business-owners gathered to network and build meaningful connections.
Unlocking the potential of our small and diverse entrepreneurs is essential for regional growth. To that end, we brought together our Supplier Diversity Community of Practice at our annual SD summer social hosted by Exelon. Procurement executives from the region’s leading employers and diverse business owners gathered to network and build meaningful connections.
Since 2021, we’ve grown the Greater Washington Partnership’s Supplier Diversity Community of Practice to include over 100 procurement and supplier diversity leaders from more than 40 organizations. This community has been instrumental in fostering new business relationships and sharing insights to uplift diverse-owned businesses in our regional economy.
Special thanks to Exelon for hosting and our speakers: Anthony Pierce, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Vernice Lewis, Exelon; Angie M. Gates Pres. & CEO, Events DC; and Aisha Bond, Esq., Pres., Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce and DC Councilmember At-Large Kenyan McDuffie.
We invite all interested in supporting and advancing supplier diversity to join our growing community. To join the Supplier Diversity Community of Practice and learn more contact Alana Baray.
