The TalentReady: Championing Regional Career Pathways Forum, hosted at Northern Virginia Community College in partnership with JPMorgan Chase and the Education Strategy Group (ESG), focused on paving the way for students to access high-growth careers that offer family-sustaining wages and fill in-demand job vacancies with more local talent.
The forum included remarks from Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, followed by a moderated roundtable discussion and networking session. Leaders from K12 and postsecondary institutions, business and workforce development organizations convened for a discussion about effective cross-sector partnerships that support talent pipelines and the opportunity to collaborate in the next iteration of the TalentReady work kicking off in 2024.
TalentReady has supported more than 25,000 high school students—from Baltimore City, Md.; Fairfax County, Va.; Montgomery County, Md.; Prince George’s County, Md.; and Washington, DC—in career pathways that include opportunities to earn college credit and industry-recognized credentials.
