The focus of the collaborative dialogue centered on revitalizing downtown corridors and how we must ensure the health and economic competitiveness of urban centers spanning from Baltimore to Richmond.

Made possible by generous support from Truist and in collaboration with local nonprofit accelerator 1863 Ventures, the program provided customized technical assistance, coaching and curated events to help Black, Brown and women entrepreneurs from Baltimore to Richmond acquire, fulfill and retain contracts for the region's largest buyers.

Read more »The American Rescue Plan Series: A Convening for Secondary and Postsecondary Institutions webinar discussed the best practices for secondary and postsecondary institutions to leverage funds to support learners. The audience also heard what education institutions in the Capital Region have planned for the funds this upcoming school year. Schools across America have been under an unprecedented strain in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. The American Rescue Plan will provide about $40 billion to postsecondary institutions to serve learners impacted by the pandemic. The American Rescue Plan will also provide $122 billion in relief for K-12 schools.
